Max was a proficient skijoring dog when he came to live with me. With my mediocre xc skiing abilities, I worked hard to improve my skate skiing so I could live up to Max's expectations. It's a wonderful workout in the winter and quality time with the Max Factor.

Max started backcountry skiing at age 13. He loved it! Hiking uphill for hours, then sprinting downhill in deep snow. What could be more fun?! The only downside was the softball-sized snowballs forming on his underside. Booties weren't enough. We soon discovered a quick spray of "Pam" on his underbelly thwarted any wannabe snowballs.
